Milford Road Runners – Meeting Minutes 05/03/2010
Michael Orefice gave a presentation about his practice: Active Health and
Wellness
Center, LLC in Milford. He offers medical acupuncture, chiropractic, physical
therapy,
active release and functional integrative therapy. He treats sports and
recreational
injuries. He participates in many insurance plans. Make sure you tell him that
you are a
Milford Road Runner.
Saturday runs are now at Eisenhower Park.
The clock is on hold for now due to higher than expected prices.
Grand prix series: Milford Hospital 5/9/2010, Sprint for Dare 6/6/2010,
Branford
6/20/2010, Sunset Run 7/16/2010
The next USATF race is the Delaney Dash on 5/29/2010.
July 4th Race: We will have fewer expenses for the race this year because
this is not a
USATF race and we are not using Marty this year.
. Courtney Honda’s continued sponsorship looks good. Bob will be
following up
on this. We have now received their sponsorship money for the race.
. Race flyers should be completed this week so they can be distributed
at Milford
race.
. Kid’s fun run will be repeated this year. A different route will be
calculated to
avoid the problems we had last year.
. Diane Silva has volunteered to design the T-shirt.
. We will be looking for members to volunteer for committees to 1.

2. Obtain food donations 3. Obtain goody bag donations. 4. Raffle donations

. Woodbridge Running Company will donate shoes for the race
. Bob will obtain insurance for the race
. Trophies will be ordered by the same company
. Michael will take care of the newspaper release
The Kid’s Track Series will start the Thursday after the July 4th race. We
will need
members to volunteer at the meets. They are a lot of fun!!!! Also we will need
members
to donate their trophies for trophy night! Please give to any of the officers.
Club picnic – Labor Day. ? July 4th party or Memorial Day party if there is
enough
interest.
